April 2020 Reading List

I can’t think of another time when I’ve had so many consecutive weeks that I’ve been able to find time for reading. I have two little kids, so don’t get me wrong, I feel really, really busy! But, having life just feel a little bit more slow without any traveling or entertaining, has definitely freed up some coveted evening reading. I’ve even taken to enjoying a nice bubble bath once or twice a week with a book!! I can’t remember the last time I was able to do that. It’s all about the little things right now, am I right? So, without further ado, here are the books that I got into this past month.

1. And Then She Was Gone - Lisa Jewel

I found this book to be a little predictable, but I still enjoyed it. I would have liked a different outcome, but I think that main character ended up getting exactly what she needed. I like Lisa Jewell’s writing style, so I find her books to be easy and engaging reads and this book didn’t disappoint.

2. The Last Mrs. Parrish - Liv Constantine

I honestly couldn’t put this book down! The two main characters are worlds apart and clever in their own ways. Scandalous in the very best ways! Out of the four books I read this past month, this was probably my favorite.

3. Cocktail Hour - Tara McTiernan

Yikes!! This book jumps around from the perspective of five different woman who are all moving through their own experience of the same situation. I feel like its impossible not to related to at least one of the women, so there should be something here for everyone. Its twisty and does a good job of keeping the reader engaged. Its a fun read for a lazy weekend.

4. Everything is Figureoutable - Marie Forleo

Great read!! Marie has a fun sense of humor. The book is an easy and uplifting read. Plus, I’m now in love with the word, figureoutable.
