October Reading List - Kids Edition!
This month, I’m switching up my Reading List to share my favorite Halloween books I’ve been reading to my kiddos! Both of my kids absolutely love books and love being read to. So, for this mom, I will supply them with all the books I can get my hands on to cultivate the love of reading!
I definitely indulge each season by buying or book swapping holiday appropriate books because it’s FUN! A couple of these are passed down from big bro to little bro, but we got our hands on a few new ones for our collection this year. So, here we go! This is what I have to share with you all this month. Enjoy!
Halloween Heroes - My toddler loves this book (and all things Paw Patrol
Mickey’s Halloween - My tiny one is so obsessed with Mickey! It’s the cutest thing ever… So, these Mickey books are going everywhere with him right now! The flap book…. seriously a winner!
Haunted Clubhouse - Since my one year old packs these two Mickey books around, the size of this board book is pretty great! Compact enough for him to enjoy in the car!
When The Clock Strikes on Halloween - This is SUCH a cute Halloween book. It has a great cadence and I find it to be very clever! I think my boys will actually enjoy this a little more next year when they are a touch older. There are some little characters in the book, that my oldest just doesn’t know what they are yet.
It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown - I mean… This is a classic! Every kid needs this book in their collection. As a bonus, it’s super affordable.
Room on the Broom - This one was new for me. And although I do think this is good for kiddos more 4-7, my 3 year old really likes it!
Little Blue Truck’s Halloween - Okay, both my boys LOVE a lift a flap book. Both of my boys LOVE a Little Blue Truck book. Looks like this mama is probably going to be buying another one of these books to prevent the tussle wars that have been going on over this book! I really hope Alice Schertle just keeps on pumping these Little Blue Truck books out!
Five Little Pumpkins - My toddler is all about counting so this book is a win! It’s also has a great little rhyme and cadence to it that my toddler really likes to read in a little bit of a sing-song kind of way! Adorable!
Trick or Treat, Little Pumpkin - If you want to get an instant giggle out of Baby H, just get this book out. My toddler loved it and now my baby reaches for it first thing when he wakes up everyday. The finger puppet just makes his little day!
You can buy all of these books from my links on Amazon for less $10 each.
I’m always looking for book recommendations for my kids, so if you have any reads you’re enjoying reading to your little ones, please share!!
