I have the best natural light during the summer months here in the Pacific Northwest which has made for some excellent reading! I have four new books for you, so if you’re looking for a new read, I’ve got you covered.

The Happiness Advantage - Shawn Anchor

I LOVED this book. I’m always looking for ways to learn how to be a better leader and this book packed a punch! The book is filled with excellent experiments and well researched studies to back up the proof that rewiring out brains for positivity and optimism is possible and can have an effect on all areas of our lives. Small shifts can create major impacts.

The Silent Patient - Alex Michaelides

I’ll be honest, when I started reading this, I feared it was going to take me months to get through this book. I did find the first half of the book to be kind of slow. Interesting enough to just hold my attention, but still slow. It was on so many best seller list though, that I continued to work my way through it and I am so glad I did! This book takes a major turn that is completely unpredictable and the last few chapters had me so captivated I could hardly put the book down.

Daring Greatly - Brene Brown

I love Brene Brown. I think her work is fascinating and I think she is a woman who is soooo relatable. I appreciate her braveness in tackling subjects that so many of us avoid like the plague! I love her writing style and I think I’d pretty much read anything she puts out. But, in all honesty, I really liked this book. And she know has a Netflix show on this book, which is great for those of us that would rather watch than read!

The Secrets You Keep - Kate White

This book is sooooo twisty!! Which is what makes it such a fun and exciting read. The lead character is a self help writer that starts having some very interesting nightmares. Some odd things start happening in what appeared to be her perfect marriage. And slowly but surely, women start losing their lives. It’s pretty captivating. A good read for a lazy summer weekend.
