5 Simple Last Minute Table Settings
Thanksgiving is just a few short days away! So, the minimalist inside me wants to share with you FIVE easy and simple table settings that are guaranteed to look effortless and won’t be breaking any banks. For me, I didn’t need to buy anything to make these minimal place settings come together, but if you’re needing a few quick place setting pieces, I’ve provided links to the products or similar for each setting as well.
1. Simplicity At It’s Finest -
I love this table setting. It’s so simple. So straightforward. And still looks sophisticated. The black silverware provides such a nice contrast to the white plate and white linen napkin and helps to make it feel so current. A little silver dollar eucalyptus to make the table feel special and just like that, you’re ready to host.
2. New Meets Old -
This setting has such a special place in my heart. This is my Great Grandma’s set of wedding china, so needless to say, its been around for a long while. She gave it to me as she passed, so I will most certainly be keeping it forever. I love that she thought of me in that the pattern is so tidy and simple. I still find ways at the holidays to use it and make it more modern. Here, I paired it with my acacia salad plates and matte gold silverware to play with mixing metals and materials. I absolutely love it.
3. Minimal Texture -
I think we’re really starting to see how effective a clean, white plate can be. This setting is my set of simple glass plate layers on a woven, round placemat. I’ve had these for SO LONG! But, they have held up so well and really do such a great job of adding textural visual interest. Here, I’ve paired them with my matte gold silverware, but I think it’s beautiful with all metals. Lastly, I topped the whole look off with one small sprig of eucalyptus. Perfection!
4. Aú Naturale -
I feel like every home has those cute, little elements that can easily be gathered up to really make a table special. Here, I used random houseplants throughout my home to add bit of color and a touch of earthiness. The black flatware really set off the grain in the wood and the white plates, again, are such a beautiful contrast to everything else composition wise. I’ve had these napkins for awhile, but adding these leather ties added just another natural splash to the whole look.
5. Simple Sophistication -
This is this years winner for me. It’s so elegant and I personally think that it is it’s simplicity that makes it so. Clean, white dishes, matte gold flatware, a linen napkin (never goes out of style) and a stunning, small branch of seeded eucalyptus. It’s magnificent. I’ll be honest, a busy table stresses me out. There isn’t enough space for the eye to rest and to be frank, it’s a lot to clean up. My style and belief in simplicity isn’t for everyone, but trust me, if you’re feeling behind, a simple, minimal table setting will never disappoint.
